Distinguished Prof. Babajide Alo is an internationally acknowledged expert in environmental management issues and chemical pollution studies especially in developing countries with over 20 years of environmental consultancy experience in Marine Pollution, Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Audit, Waste Management, Bioremediation, and international negotiations of global instruments for sustainable development. 

He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Academy of Science (FAS); Fellow of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (FCSN), Fellow, Institute of Public analysts of Nigeria, Fellow, Nigerian Environmental Society of Nigeria, and Fellow, Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria. He is former Deputy Vice-Chancellor – (Academics & Research) of the University of Lagos- (2012-2016).
