In September 2022, Our Executive Dr. Oluwatoyin Adejonwo, participated as a speaker on the session titled “climate justice and child rights” at the ninth edition of the annual international Policy Conference on the African Child which held at the United Nations Conference Centre, UNCC, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Conference seeks to look deeply into climate change and its impact on children’s rights in Africa, situate the African child within the climate crisis discourse, and thus trigger urgent policy and action. The Conference attracted a considerable number of participants including representatives of African Governments, the African Union, civil society organisations as well as academics, experts and child rights activists from within and outside Africa.
